Aisha is a Gambian photographer, creative director and urbanist based in Toronto who has built a street and portrait photography portfolio over the years. Working primarily through film, her documentary-style photography captures the mundane nature of everyday life activities and provides snapshots of how the world around us is changing.
Aisha has worked on several projects, including “Bathroom Break”, a collaborative photoseries as part of the XiR Art Residence, paying homage to the small moments of girlhood in the shared space of a bathroom and “By the Sea”, a photography series which was based on a visit back home to The Gambia during Covid-19.
